
Restylane ® Perlane ® Juvederm ®
What is Restylane ® and Perlane ® ?
These are Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers which are used to add
volume and to restore youthful contours to areas of the face from
the nose to the corners of the mouth (nasolabial folds) . Depending
on whether you want smooth away finer lines to more severe wrinkles
and folds, your provider may recommend Restylane ® or Perlane ®
accordingly.
Are Restylane ® and Perlane ® Approved?
Yes.
How long will product last?
Product can last anywhere from 9 months to 1 year. It is recommended
to follow the regimen given by your provider to achieve optimum
results. It is recommended to return in 1 week for a follow visit in
addition to a 6 month maintenance treatment. At which time, only a
fraction of the initial volume administered will be needed to
maintain longevity of the product.
How Should I Prepare to Receive Such a Treatment?
It is recommended to avoid, any chemical peels or laser treatments
at least 1 week prior to treatment. Avoid taking any oral
supplements such as Vitamin E or Fish Oils to help prevent bruising.
Medications such as St. John’s Wort, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Aspirin,
Aleve, Excedrin, and other anti-inflammatory medications should be
avoided at least 2 days prior to treatment to minimize bleeding and
bruising.
How do I know how many Syringes are needed to achieve optimum
smoothness?
Your Provider will discuss this with you at your initial visit.
How are the Products Administered?
They are administered by tiny injections to the treatment site.
What Benefits Will I have from such a treatment?
Your face will have a more youthful, smoother appearance.
What are the Most Common Side Effects?
Minimum to no inflammation and bruising are the most common side
effects.
Is the Procedure Painful?
As with any injection, some clients may feel discomfort, however,
ice packs are applied the regions to be treated prior to injection
to help minimize any pain.
Who is not a candidate?
It is not recommended for those who have an autoimmune disease or
uncontrolled diabetes. If you have diabetes and it is controlled a
letter from your private physician stating that 1) your diabetes is
controlled and 2) “it is ok to receive dermal filler treatment” must
be specified on the letter before receiving such a procedure at
Rejuvenating Skin Care 3) your private physician’s signature must be
present.
What Should I Avoid After the Treatment?
The day of and after treatment it is recommended to avoid touching
the area, and applying face makeup to post treated region. Wash your
hands before touching or cleansing face to help prevent infection.
What Can I do to help maintain product?
Adhere to follow appointments and maintenance treatments. Drink
plenty of water daily. Minimize caffeine or the intake of other
diuretics. Avoid Smoking. Stay Hydrated!!! It is recommended to
drink 8-10 cups of water daily. Staying hydrated helps maintain
product.

What is Juvederm ®?
Juvederm ® is an injectable gel that is used to replace Hyaluronic
Acid that your skin losses over time. As a result of this loss in
Hyaluronic acid your skin may develop facial wrinkles and folds
around the mouth. Juvederm ® replenishes your skin with volume and a
youthful contour; smoothing away these wrinkles and folds. Juvederm ®
Ultra or Ultra Plus may be administered depending if fine lines or
deeper wrinkles are to be treated.
